All About PPM – Your One-Stop Landlord Shop

Gone are the days when you had to store a dozen or more numbers on your phone if you wanted to keep track on all the properties you have let out.

PPM is the first company to offer landlords a one-stop shop for every aspect of property management.

  • Lettings Manager/Valuer: Carries out the initial valuation, advise on the likely rent, and launch the property on the market.
  • Lettings Negotiator: Organises viewings, advises on offers, and tries to convince you to accept their tenant as the best option – because they are all paid on commission.
  • Administrator: Compiles references, draws up contracts, registers the deposit, organises inventories and makes sure all compliance work is carried out.
  • Property Manager: Looks after the day-to-day running of the property and any repairs or inspections that are required.
  • Accounts Manager: Collects the rent and makes sure any contractor bills are paid.
  • Renewals Manager: Deals with the renewal of contracts.

About Our Founder – Paul Barnett

When Paul set up Performance Property Management in 2020, he had already been working in property letting and management for more than 30 years.

He believed the time was right to put all that experience and know-how into ushering in a new era in property management services. He could see that the sector needed modernising and streaming – hence the one-stop-shop approach that makes PPM unique.

Paul’s property career began in 1988, during the worst market crash in two decades. That heralded a testing few years of soaring interest rates and repossessions. But Paul thrived in that adversity and was running his own branch within a year.

He moved to Lords Estate Agents in 1993 to launch its lettings department, and over the next decade helped to grow the business until it was the top letting agent in Kingston.

Paul then joined the biggest corporate agency in the country, and in 2006 he moved to a small, independent agency in Surbiton. Over the next 14 years, while growing that business, he became the go-to advisor on rental values for landlords and major corporate new home builders such as Redrow and The Berkeley Group.
